COMPANY HISTORY

WA Site Services was establishing WA Site Services in 2010 by Ron Ayerst.

Prior to opening WASS, Ron Ayerst completed his Mechanical Apprenticeship with Rio Tinto, Cape Lambert in 1986 and further progressed into other positions within Rio Tinto including Mechanical/Structural Design Draftsperson, Mechanical Project Officer and In-loading Area.

Ron then spent 5 years with Sandvik as an After Sales Maintenance Services Engineer/Inspector. 

Ron brings with him over 30 years of knowledge and understanding of the mining and resources sector. With experiences in machine audits, balance machine repairs and refurbishments, giving WASS the capability to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions tailored to meet Client requirements. He has built a strong reputation for the safe and timely delivery of high quality, cost-effective mining support services.

WA Site Services (WASS) is a leading provider of mechanical and balanced machine maintenance,  repair and support services to the Australian mining and resources sector. The WA Site Services management team are heavily involved  within the work undertaken on site, with over 20 years’ experience in construction and shutdown maintenance. This allows us to draw on a “wealth” of industry experience in similar ore deposits and the process requirements for major Iron Ore mining companies in the Pilbara. WA Site Services will ensure alignment with the key project deliverables and provide our clients with the ideal solution for each project.

WHAT WE DO

We are a solutions based multi-disciplinary engineering service. Our employees are key to creating innovative solutions to complex problems, From concept, design to implementation. Our execution teams are completely familiar with the details and implementation of Australian Standards and do not compromise on safety and quality. In general, site works shall comprise of all services, manning, equipment, tools, transport, storage containers, offices and supplies for the complete installation, modifications and commissioning of each project.
